At Stratco New Zealand, we are proud to have been a part of The Chodge project—a truly unique and innovative structure that has captured national and international attention. This stunning home, located in the beautiful Waikato/Bay of Plenty region, is a testament to bold vision, architectural design and high-quality materials.
The project, spearheaded by renowned designer Darryl Church, founder of DCA Architects of Transformation, involved a collaboration with key industry players, including Ampelite NZ, Stratco Rotorua, and Roto Vegas Roofing. The challenge was to deliver a distinctive, light-filled home with a seamless blend of aesthetics and durability for the homeowner.
Award-Winning Design
The Chodge has received multiple prestigious awards, including:
- Waikato/Bay of Plenty – Housing
- ADNZ (Architectural Designers NZ) Supreme Award 2024
- ADNZ National Award for New Home 150-300m²
- ADNZ National Award – Home Interiors
The project even reached the international stage as a finalist at the World Architecture Festival 2024 in Singapore, further cementing its status as an architectural icon.
Innovation With Ampelite
Stratco was selected as the preferred supplier for a range of premium Ampelite products featured in both the interior and exterior of the building. Amplelite products meet the highest standards for performance and visual impact. Product supplied included:
- Roofing: Ampelite Webglas S-996 Corrugated Roofing
- Clear Walling: Ampelite Wonderglas S-996 Corrugated Clear Walling
- Internal Linings: Ampelite EasyClick 500 – 16mm Clear Polycarbonate Multiwall Linings
